I’m really into The Nightmare Before Christmas and I’d like to go as Jack Skellington this Halloween. I’m not going to buy the premade costume, partly because it looks bad and because its around 50 dollars, and I don’t want to spend that much on a costume. I’d like help and ideas about how I could make a Jack Skellington costume without it being too expensive.

We made this one year and it came out great but I sewed a suit. We used a ball from the market and cut it to make the head. You have to paint it of course and make holes for the eyes so you can breathe. Be sure to put black make up around your own eyes under the mask so they look black. Paint bones on your hands or on black gloves if you can find them and on top of black sneakers. We made the tie out of cardboard and you’ll have to paint that also. Use a man’s dress shirt or a white collared shirt underneath. You need some really tight pants and can probably get away with leggings and a slightly over sized jacket. I can’t remember if he has pinstripes…if he does simple make the lines with chalk.

Pin Stripe jacket and pin strip skirt (rip the edges) and paint your face to look like a skull. Shoes…Just get some black heels or flats and get little plastic spiders. Glue the spiders to the front of the shoe.

OK! and make your lashes SUPER long or juts get fake ones.
